​​Reporting Safeguarding Concerns
Emergency Reporting
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 for emergency assistance.
For Concerns about Adults, Staff, or Volunteers
Report it to the Hampshire Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), within one working day via their website: https://www.hants.gov.uk/socialcareandhealth/childrenandfamilies/safeguardingchildren/allegations
Note: Currently, LADO does not support telephone enquiries.
For Child Safeguarding Concerns

1. Identify the Concern:
If you witness, suspect, or are informed of harm, abuse, neglect, or any behaviour causing harm to a child, it is your duty to act.

2. Report to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL):

The DSL will:

Assess risk and concern.

Record details per safeguarding policies.

Contact relevant authorities (e.g., Hampshire Children’s Services).

Provide feedback to the reporter, if appropriate.

Monitor the situation and ensure support for the child and family.
